I want to book a room but am not a member of Studentsamfunnet
Anyone who wishes to use rooms at Studentsamfunnet in Ås but is not a member can rent rooms through the Student Welfare Organization in Ås (SiÅs). This is done by contacting SiÅs at samfunnet@sias.no.
I want to book a room and am a member of Studentsamfunnet
Clubs and associations affiliated with the student community at NMBU can borrow rooms at Studentsamfunnet for free during the semesters, i.e., from January 1 – May 1 and August 1 – December 1. This applies to all rooms except Aud.Max. and Johannes.
To book rooms for free, at least 75% of the members in the club/association must be members of Samfunnet in Ås. Room booking for clubs and associations is done by contacting the room booking managers at rombooking@samfunnetiaas.no. Contact them for detailed guidelines on booking and using rooms at Studentsamfunnet.
For booking Aud.Max. and Johannes, or if the club/association does not meet the 75% membership requirement, or for bookings outside the semester periods, please contact SiÅs at samfunnet@sias.no.

Room booking for 75% events at Studentsamfunnet in Ås
Clubs and associations that meet the 75% membership requirement can book rooms and necessary personnel for free, provided the request is sent within the deadlines. Necessary personnel include security staff and bar staff. Other personnel can be booked upon request or hired.
The 75% membership list must be sent to the room booking managers at rombooking@samfunnetiaas.no every semester.
Spring semester deadline: February 15
Fall semester deadline: September 15
For larger events, the request must be submitted within the following deadlines:
November 20 – January block
December 20 – Spring parallel
June 20 – August block
July 20 – Fall parallel
Requests should be sent to event coordinator at festkoordinator@samfunnetiaas.no. Additionally, rooms must first be booked with the room booking managers at rombooking@samfunnetiaas.no.
The form below must be filled out first: “Booking an event when meeting the 75% rule”.
We have the capacity to hold a maximum of three events outside of the semester periods (January 1 – May 1 and August 1 – December 1). These will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, contact festkoordinator@samfunnetiaas.no.
Events are defined as room bookings requiring the sale/purchase of drinks. Bringing your own drinks is not allowed on the premises.
Booking an event when meeting the 75% rule
If you wish to hold an event at Samfunnet and meet the 75% rule, you must complete this form to submit an event request.
Booking form for larger events
By filling out this form, you submit a request to hold the event. The room booking managers and event coordinator will then contact the organization to confirm whether the event can be held. No separate emails to room booking managers or the event coordinator are needed.
Examples of events that must be submitted via the form include Christmas parties, private club nights, and other large events. Smaller bookings, such as room reservations for meetings, should be sent directly via email to rombooking@samfunnetiaas.no and should not be submitted through the form.
